Tap into true empowerment through the experience of Meditation In Motion. Enjoy the practice of Dynamic Gentle Yoga as a journey into your energy body where flow is spontaneous and healing. Being in a flow is deeply nurturing on the levels of body, mind, and spirit. Under Rudy’s gentle guidance you will discover the inner strength that emerges from letting go.

Start your weekend with a Friday afternoon class in the MELT Method®, offered by Rudy’s wife, Joyce. Learn techniques to release stuck stress that will enhance your practice of yoga and support more ideal alignment. MELT is also known as Hands Off Bodywork™; participation in this class is like treating yourself to a therapeutic massage. Learn more.

Friday evening’s class includes an emphasis on standing strengthening postures and ending with deep rest and relaxation. Rudy guides this class in a manner that makes this practice safe, accessible, and satisfying for bodies at all levels of experience, including complete beginners.

 

In the Saturday morning session, Rudy will guide you through a Dynamic Gentle Vinyasa practice, a flowing sequence of accessible postures, linking movements with breath. If you have shied away from a vinyasa practice thinking it is too difficult or requires a high level of flexibility and strength, come experience Rudy’s class and discover new freedom in the Dynamic Gentle Yoga approach.

Saturday afternoon‘s session is guided in a meditative style with reminders to focus on sensation and breath, anchoring your mind in the neutral witness consciousness. The practice then evolves as you explore alternating willful movement with listening to your body’s natural wisdom as it leads you to the next movement. This session is a discovery of spontaneous movement, the experience of energy/prana moving you. In Dynamic Gentle Meditation in Motion you access freedom, healing, and empowerment through letting go as you allow your body’s natural wisdom to be the source of movement.

The Sunday Teacher Training Module, Empowerment: Guiding Meditation In Motion, will be lecture/discussion about preparing students to experience prana (energy) flow as well as an exploration and practice of the methods to guide students in this empowering experience. You will develop your skill for leading students in letting go and accessing spontaneous movement. In this module you will gain or enhance the skills you need for guiding this deep, empowering aspect of yoga practice:

  • learn to set an inspiring informative context, create safety, and convey essential knowledge about Meditation in Motion so that even true beginners can access this empowering experience of flow
  • learn how to give a demonstration demonstrate the meditative quality of flow to further prepare students to access this experience themselves
  • develop a language repertoire that works best to guide a group in a self-initiated meditative flow
  • explore and practice the techniques you will need to integrate and ground your students’ experience of Meditation in Motion
  • learn how this experience can be provided in a regular yoga class or developed into a special workshop
  • receive information about the philosophical and yogic origins of Meditation in Motion
  • get recommendations for music and poetry that support you in guiding an empowering experience of flow

 

Students welcome to: Friday and Saturday sessions Teachers encouraged to attend Fri, Sat and Sunday for 15 CEs* with Yoga Alliance. (Fri-Sat sessions create a foundation for the content of the Sunday training day.
