Thank you so much for making the Gentle Yoga CDs! I’m sending one to my cousin in Florida who tried a tape that was too hard for her; she’s approaching my age – 69. The other is for my sister in Alabama who wants to tighten her abdomen; I told her this did that for me.
Faith Houston – Morris, New York
Your great Gentle Series tapes have become very precious at the deepest level of my being. They are helping so greatly on restoring the comfort and vitality of my body – the body that has been pushed by dance since I was 3 years old – the body doing yoga for over 40 years and the body that has been teaching non-stop for over 35 years – the body that came to the conference over-tired, in pain and frustrated emotionally. Your sadhana class on Fri A.M. was a gift! However as the weekend progressed I was feeling my years with such a sense of loss for the joy of moving and stretching – I felt weak, tired, depressed, and old sitting in Meditation and doing Pranayama was equally discouraging.
At home on Monday morning I played your first tape and did my sadhana to your gentle and encouraging voice. It was magical. To date I worked to all 3 tapes ( 1 each A.M.) and I cant tell you how much I appreciate your special gifts of leading and teaching. My body feels renewed and pain-free and my energy has returned to where it has always been. Truly, less is more. I was forced by weakness and inertia to stop and by turning to your tapes I am regaining my body and my spirit.
The honesty and integrity of the practice you inspire is magnificent, and I pray you will continue for many more years.

The Gentle Yoga CD Series
Gentle I
This is the first of the series of gentle sequences developed while teaching hundreds of classes at Kripalu Center in Lenox, Massachusetts and in the villages of Central Vermont. The sequences were designed so that anyone who came to class could follow along and benefit deeply.
Gentle II
This is the second in the series of gentle sequences. This sequence will stretch and open the body in the gentle and accessible style of Gentle I. It provides a creative sequence of stretches and postures to add variety to your gentle yoga practice.
Like Gentle I, Gentle II is designed so that both the beginner and the experienced practitioner can easily understand and benefit from the practice.
Gentle III
This is the third in the series of gentle yoga CDs. The intention of this CD is to offer short 20-minute sequences of gentle yoga that can be used when you have limited time and want to maintain a consistent practice. Each of the sequences provide a methodical variety of stretches that release typical tensions and pockets of blocked energy.
These sequences are drawn from the gentle and accessible style of Gentle I and II, the first Gentle Series CDs. Like Gentle I and II, Gentle III is designed so that both the beginner and the experienced practitioner can easily understand and benefit from the practice.
This CD also includes a guided 20 minute practice of meditation.
Gentle IV
This is the fourth in the series of gentle yoga CDs. The intention of this CD is to present a new wrinkle in the “Gentle Yoga” style, which involves approaching postures by moving in and out of the stretch, and then relaxing into a holding of the deepest expression of the pose.
This sequence has from the evolved from the gentle and accessible style of Gentle I, II and III, the first Gentle Series CDs. Like Gentle I, II and III Gentle IV is designed so that both the beginner and the experienced practitioner can easily understand and benefit from the practice.
The Invigoration Series of Yoga CDs
This CD is the first in the Invigoration Series of CDs that provide the yoga student with asana, pranayama and meditation practices that build on the experience of the beginning practices of yoga. While increased flexibility and body awareness are required, care is given to explore modifications and options that make the challenges accessible to those with some joint stiffness and tight muscles.
The intention of this type of yoga practice is to stimulate energy, increase flexibility, and deepen the practice of pranayama and meditation. This sequence provides deep stretches for the entire body with special emphasis on the hips and shoulders. It includes a vinyasa (posture sequence linked by breath) of standing postures called the Thunderbolt sequence, designed for the Men’s Yoga Quest program, but enjoyed by mixed classes for nearly two decades now. This practice sequence also includes a strengthening and cleansing technique called Uddiyana Bandha and Agni Sera Dhauti. Because this involves pumping the abdomen, this series lends itself to the beginning of the day, before breakfast. It must be done on an empty stomach.
